Fishbox, part of UK seafood and game meat supplier Coast & Glen, is expanding to a new facility in Inverness.

The fresh fish delivery service said the factory on the Wyndhill Industrial Estate in Muir of Ord – purchased with the help of HSBC – is being renovated and is on track to be in use next month. The site is an addition to the industrial premises of Coast & Glen based on Walker Road, Inverness.

“The new factory and office will not only allow Fishbox to expand its customer acquisition but will free up space to let Coast & Glen continue its organic growth,” said Magnus Houston, founding managing director of Fishbox and the sister company.

Fishbox is an online seafood subscription service, where customers sign up for deliveries from a list of 80 products sourced from the Scottish seas, landed every day. Houston was recently named Scotland’s Institute of Directors “emerging director of the year” and has ambitions to grow the business and expand its customer base within the retail sector.
