Croatian confectionery producer Kras has posted an 11% rise in first-half profits thanks to rising sales at home and abroad.

The company said today (30 July) that net income rose 10.8% to HRK22.5m (US$4.2m) on the back of a 4% increase in sales to HRK468.5m.
Domestic sales rose 4%, while exports rose 11%. Domestic sales still make up for two-thirds of revenues at Kras, although exports are gathering apace.
