She succeeds Alain Perrin in what Eureden called a “long-planned development”.

Eureden president Dany Rochefort said Daniel’s “solid knowledge of the group and her sense of teamwork will be valuable assets in meeting the challenges of the future”.

When Eureden was formed five years ago, Daniel was named administrative and finance director. Last year, she became director of strategy and financial performance, plus deputy CEO.

Daniel said: “I am convinced that the success of this new chapter depends on everyone’s commitment. Collectively and individually, we have a major role to play in continuing to write Eureden’s wonderful story, serving our member farmers and supporting regional development.”

Rochefort described Perrin as the “architect” of the deal that created Eureden in 2020. Perrin’s tenure with the business dates back to 2012 when he became deputy CEO at Cecab, which changed its name to D’aucy three years later.

Eureden is the product of a merger between the former D’aucy and Triskalia co-operatives. The deal, first announced in 2017, went through in 2020 after the companies agreed to sell assets.

The Eureden co-op has 17,000 farmer members and 8,000 staff. The company runs 40 sites, including factories in Spain, Germany and Hungary. It generated turnover of €3.8bn ($4.45bn) in its 2024 fiscal year, versus €3.9bn 12 months earlier.

Rochefort said: “On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to warmly thank Alain Perrin for his 25 years of commitment to the agri-food cooperative world and, more specifically, for the work accomplished within Eureden, of which he was the architect.”
