Dean Foods has been revealed as the party that has expressed interest in a joint acquisition with Australia's Freedom Foods of the A2 Milk Co.
A2 Milk Co. issued a second statement today (24 June) to the Australian Stock Exchange detailing Freedom Foods Group and Dean Foods as the parties that submitted an indicative, conditional and non-binding expression of interest in the company.

Its first announcement on Monday (22 June) did not name the bidders though Freedom Foods which is already a shareholder in A2 Milk confirmed its interest in a separate announcement.
A spokesperson for Dean Foods declined to comment further but said "as part of Dean Foods' normal course of operations, our team continually identifies and reviews potential strategic opportunities."
