The US Securities and Exchange Commission is reportedly investigating former Dean Foods chairman Thomas Davis over allegations that he leaked information regarding the 2012 spin off of WhiteWave Foods from the US dairy giant.

A report in the Wall Street Journal, citing sources, said that Davis is suspected of insider trading – feeding information to professional gambler William Walters. Walters is, in turn, believed to have passed this information to professional golfer Phil Mickelson.
