Danish food and pharmaceuticals firm Aarhus Oliefabrik is to divest its 34% stake in Norwegian marine oils and DNA salts manufacturer Maritex, according to an article in national newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

The sale is part of a strategic development plan for Maritex, which is currently jointly owned by Aarhus and Malaysian palm oil producer United Plantations Berhad.


The stake will be sold to Tine Biomarin AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the largest Norwegian dairy company Tine Norske Meierier BA.
