Lotz will be responsible for strengthening Arla’s “performance culture” and improving the group’s reporting abilities and financial follow-up, Arla said. He will assume his responsibilities with the dairy giant on 1 January.

In the autumn of next year, Arla’s board said that it will initiate discussions with Lotz and the management board on the company’s capital structure.

Besides financial and legal issues, Lotz will also have responsibility for IT.

“For me it’s important that IT functions as an integral part of the organisation and the business. The dialogue between the business and IT must be strong in order to achieve the best possible results,” he commented.
