DENMARK/SWEDEN: Arla sells Semper Clinical Nutrition to Novartis
Danish-Swedish dairy products group Arla Foods has sold its Semper Clinical Nutrition unit to Swiss pharmaceuticals company Novartis for an undisclosed sum. Semper Clinical Nutrition, which is a unit of Arla’s Swedish foods subsidiary Semper, makes clinical food and dietary supplements. The unit has an annual turnover of DKr100m (US$15.8m).

The sale forms part of Arla’s long-term strategy to focus on its core activities, reported the Danish News Digest.
