DENMARK/USA: Danisco to relocate research unit to US to boost GM activities
Danish sugar and ingredients company Danisco is planning to relocate much of its biotech research operations to the US in order to produce genetically modified products. The company has already conducted research into GM products but under EU law it cannot produce the products. Danisco hopes that it will be easier to get the necessary permission in the US to produce its new hexose oxidase enzyme.
