
German food group Dr Oetker has completed the acquisition of Mexican confectioner D'Gari following approval from the local competition regulator.
The privately-owned company said the deal "builds" its international presence. "With the acquisition Dr Oetker… enters the Mexican market for gelatin desserts," the group said.

The acquisition includes D'Gari's production site Querétaro, Mexico, where around 600 people are employed.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Last week Oetker announced the acquisition of German frozen cake maker Coppenrath & Wiese.
