The money will be spent by dairy industry organisations in 11 member states, who will also contribute funds, along with their national governments.
France, Italy, Britain, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Finland, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal will benefit. National organisations involved include the National Interprofessional Centre for Dairy Economy (CNIEL) in France.
Some programmes will benefit several national milk sectors at once, while others will benefit one country only.
France, for example, will host three separate French-focused programmes – totalling EUR6.9m.
