It considered that the detailed report by the German representative did not at this stage justify any new initiatives. The identification of the source of the prohibited pesticide contamination, the assurances given by Germany and the measures that it has so far taken until now are judged to be satisfactory.
The progress of the German investigations for tracking down the last few contaminated products that have still not been withdrawn from the market will be examined on Thursday. In the meantime, Belgian precautionary measures are still applicable.
