Finnish retailer Kesko has seen the buoyancy of its grocery business continue with rising food sales driving sales growth of just under 3% for 2007.

The company saw sales at its grocery arm, Kesko Food, rise 7.3% to EUR3.9bn (US$5.8bn) last year. The grocery channel accounts for 40% of turnover at Kesko, which has retailing businesses across a number of sectors.
Kesko’s group revenue rose 2.7% to EUR9.6bn during 2007.
