Finnish retailer Kesko Oyj has reported a 10.6% increase in sales for December 2005 to reach a total of EUR€796.7m (US$964.5m), excluding VAT.

Total sales between January and December 2005 also increased by 10.6% and totalled €8,429.0 m.
Kesco total December 2005 sales increased just 0.3% to €618.2m in Finland, with most ground made in other countries worldwide, where monthly sales increased 72% compared to December 2004, at €178.5m.
Kesko’s holding in Pikoil Oy changed from 50% to 100% on 1 November 2005, and its sales are included at 100% as from 1 November 2005.
