Speaking from Foodtrader#;s Coral Gables, Florida headquarters, company representative Joe Jameson explained the reason behind the changes: “ By making the exchange easier to use we have responded to the needs of our users. We were finding that a number of transactions were not being finalized and we needed to analyze the reasons why. We think we have done that”
Jameson went on “ By simplifying the access to the trading areas of the site, as well as explaining Foodtrader#;s reverse auction and storefront services in a more understandable manner, we feel we are reaching a much wider client base.”
Foodtrader.com is also offering complete, fully-functional eCommerce websites to those companies wishing to run their own exchanges.” Many small and medium-sized companies have not embraced eCommerce because of the cost and time factors. Foodtrader.com can rapidly provide a fully functional site at a fraction of the normal development costs”
