Bongrain has moved into France’s culinary grated cheeses category with the launch of products under the Giovanni Ferrari brand.

The French dairy processor signed a partnership agreement with the Italian firm in 2010.

Bongrain said that the launch has strengthened its position within the “dynamic market segment for culinary cheeses”.

It said it would provide “a practical offering to support consumers in the preparation of their favorite dishes: pasta, gratins, quiches and pizza”.

The product range includes fresh grated Parmesan cheese, as well as three grated mixturee including Gusto Classico, a mixture of grana, emmental and tilsit.
