French dairy Candia has recalled cartons of its semi-skimmed milk marketed in around 30 French departments due to “an abnormal smell and taste which could cause digestive problems.”

The recall concerns one-litre cartons of its Viva and Grandlait brands sold respectively in packs of 8 and 6.
“This is a precautionary measure which has been taken in concertation with the relevant public authorities,” the Sodiaal-owned company said.
