Carrefour chairman Jose Luis Duran revealed the target in an interview published by French national daily Le Figaro, and reported by Dow Jones.


Media reports also suggest that Duran has been in India this week, meeting government officials in a push for entry into the country’s retail market.


Carrefour was not available for comment when contacted on the matter by just-food today (25 January).
