Casino, the France-based retailer, has booked a 12.7% rise in third-quarter revenue, helped by strong organic sales growth at home and abroad.
The company yesterday (13 October) posted consolidated net sales of EUR7.21bn (US$9.89bn) for the three months to the end of September.
On an organic basis, sales were up 7.3%, with Casino’s French stores turning in sales growth of 5.3%. Outside France, Casino saw sales rise 11.9% on an organic basis.
Casino said its domestic performance was driven by its convenience and discount stores, with its Franprix-Leader Price division enjoying sales growth of 12.1%.
Internationally, Casino’s sales rose 11.6% in South America and jumped 16.5% in Asia.
