The head of Casino’s private-label operations has left the French retailer, the company has confirmed.
Alain Bizeul, director of the Casino brand since 2007 and marketing co-director for the last two years, quit the retailer earlier this summer, a spokesperson said today (30 August).

Bizeul, who was responsible for Casino’s private-label lines, has not yet been replaced, the spokesperson said.
Casino’s own-label lines include organic range Casino Bio and upmarket line Casino Délices.
Last month, Casino reported a mixed set of half-year results, with a jump in profits from its international operations offsetting a fall in earnings in France. In its domestic market, Casino’s trading profit from continuing operations fell 21.9% due to price cuts and rising purchasing costs.
