The head of Carrefour’s Spanish discount fascia Dia, Ricardo Curras, is to succeed Javier Campo as executive director, hard discount at the international group.

Curras has worked at Dia for 22 years and has been running the Spanish Dia stores since 2006.
His experience will be applied to developing the hard discount format at group level. His first challenges will be in France, where hard discount stores now have a 14% market share of retail food sales.
