French chocolate manufacturer Cemoi is to open its first office in the US this month.

Cemoi, which sells products under its namesake brand in the US, will open a commercial office in New York.

The company told just-food its business has “strong potential” in the US and in Canada, adding it wanted to be closer to its customers in North America.

Cemoi would not disclose its sales in the market but said its sales in the US had grown by 30% in three years. It added there were no plans at present to build a manufacturing base in the US.
