The plant, to be inaugurated later this year, will be equipped with three additional production lines, raising capacity by 40%.

“The rebuilt plant will have the capacity to produce up to 14,000 tonnes annually,” Sibell’s commercial director Gilles Benkemoun told just-food today (24 February).

“Our current annual output is around 8,000 tonnes and a bigger plant will enable us to accommodate global year-on-year growth in the French crisps market of 5% to 7%.”

Employing 140 staff, the company generated a turnover last year of EUR22m.
