Ugalait groups around 180 traditional dairy owners in the Paris region and has a turnover of EUR15m (US$10m).


Triballat, which is forecasting a 2005-2006 turnover (to end -March) of EUR235m, is also undertaking a EUR15m investment programme.


This will finance the construction of an 8,000 sq.m. storage and logistics centre on the site of its subsidiary, Sojasun, at Chateaubourg, in Brittany. Investment will also target the relocation of three cheese-making units in centre-west France to a single 3,500 sq.m. site.


Triballat is the French market leader for soya-based milk products and the group is now diversified into soya steaks.
