Verifying a report in French daily Le Figaro, a Danone spokesperson told just-food that the sale can be viewed in the context of Danone’s programme to restructure its French biscuit activities. “We have ceased producing biscuits at factories in Calais and Evry,” the spokesperson confirmed.
DPI is a food company owned by Alain Teot. Danone declined to reveal the terms of the deal.
