French dairy products giant Danone has said its first-half profit before extraordinary items was unchanged at €420m (US$479.1m), while operating profit was down 1.1% to €787m.
The result was achieved despite an 8.2% hit from the appreciation of the euro and beat analysts’ estimates of €765m, reported Dow Jones International News.
First-half revenue was down 7.4% to €6.22bn, but increased 7.2% on a like-for-like basis.
