French Foie gras-to-ready meals maker Delpeyrat is in negotiations to buy seafood firm Viviers de France.
A spokesperson for Delpeyrat’s parent company, co-operative Maïsadour, confirmed to just-food today talks were taking place but declined to comment further.

Norwegian group Havfisk took full control of Viviers de France in 2009.
Based in south-east France, as is Delpeyrat, Viviers de France processes 10,000 tonnes of fish annually.
Its main outlets are supermarkets to which its supplies pre-packed trout, salmon, sushi and a selection of white fish, as well as ready meals and bulk products.
Last year, Delpeyrat diversified into salmon with the acquisition of a processing unit in to cater to the top-end of the market.
