French food group Fleury Michon has announced the acquisition of the ready-made meals business line of French gourmet grocer Fauchon for an undisclosed sum.

The takeover will come into effect on 1 January 2005.
A turnover of €10m (US$12.5m) is forecast for the business whose brands, Fauchon and Flo Prestige, are French market leaders for ready-made meals delivered to businesses.
The acquisition will allow Fleury Michon to enlarge its range of services in the delivered meals segment, the company said.
