French delicatessen group Fleury Michon is investing EUR24m in the construction of a production plant at Cambrai, in northern France.
The plant will be operated by the group’s catering division, Fleury Michon Traiteur. It will serve growth segments the company has identifies in the food sector, such as travel catering.
Cambrai enjoys a central location in relation to major airports such as Paris, London, Amsterdam and Brussels.
Work on the plant, measuring 13,000 square metres in its first phase, is scheduled to start in autumn 2006 and be completed about a year later. Staff working there could number 50 by end-2008 rising to 150 in 2010.
