Annual sales from French independent retail consortium Le Groupement des Mousquetaires rose almost 4% in 2007.
The syndicate, which includes French chain Intermarché, said turnover climbed 3.8% to EUR32.7bn (US$51.1bn) last year.
Sales at Intermarché rose 3%, accounting for 11.6% of the French retail sector.
Turnover grew faster at Netto, the hard discounter, which saw sales climb 7.4%.
Chairman Michel Pattou was optimistic about the consortium’s prospects in 2008.
