A row between French retailer E.Leclerc and dairy giant Lactalis over prices has ended after almost a year.
Leclerc removed Lactalis products from its reference list last February after refusing to accept price increases it claimed were “unjustified”.
A spokesperson for Lactalis confirmed to just-food that “common ground had been reached with Leclerc”.
However, the spokesperson declined to comment on the terms of what was a confidential commercial agreement nor on the cost to Lactalis of not having its products on sale at one of France’s leading retailers for such a prolonged period.
“We didn’t give any details of our disagreement with Leclerc other than it concerned price increases,” he added.
When contacted by just-food, no-one was immediately available to comment at Leclerc.
