French dairy companies have suggested cuts of between EUR40 (US$54.37) and EUR70 per 1,000 litres in the fourth quarter of 2008 and further cuts of between EUR100 and EUR120 per 1,000 litres in the first quarter of 2009.


 


The FNPL said the proposed deceases were “inconceivable for its members whose costs had risen by 20% in the past year”.

It urged its members “to mobilise and to react immediately in order to avoid the unacceptable” but did not specify what form of action it was advocating.
