A recovery in sales outside Europe has boosted first-half sales at France-based vegetable supplier Bonduelle.
The company booked a 0.9% increase in turnover to EUR987.7m for the six months to the end of December.

Sales generated outside Europe, which fell year-on-year in Bonduelle’s first quarter, increased 1.6% in the second quarter to EUR355.1m.
Within Europe, sales fell in the first quarter, leading to a 0.4% increase in the first half to EUR632.6m. Bonduelle pointed to challenges in Italy’s fresh produce sector and in a slowdown in its frozen business with the catering sector.
Stripping out foreign exchange and at a constant scope of consolidation, first-half sales were up 4.9%.
Bonduelle is sticking to its forecast for annual organic sales to increase by 3-5%.
