Organic brands Evernat and Bjorg are recalling a batch of green bean purée baby food, marketed throughout France, on the grounds of “regulatory non-conformity”.
The brands say that while there is no risk of food poisoning, regular consumption of the product over a short period of time, could lead to a lack of skin oxygenation and in extreme cases, cause slight decolouring in a baby’s skin.

The batch in question, L9308, has a best by date of November 2010 and is sold in a 2 x 120 gramme pack and labelled ‘Haricots verts” for Bjorg and ‘Super des haricots verts’ for Evernat.
Bjorg’s range of purées is sold in supermarket outlets while Evernat’s can only be found in specialist organic produce stores.
