The plant specialises in breaded poultry products, giving the new acquisition a strong synergy with existing Duc sites at Riec-sur-Belon.
The deal follows Duc’s purchase of the Cobral business last month for EUR1.8m (US$2.7m). At the time, Cobral’s predicted 2007 sales were expected to reach EUR27m.
Towards the end of last year, Duc anticipated annual turnover of EUR160m, a 30% lift in like-for-like sales.
