General Mill's natural food business Annie's is launching a line of certified organic soups.
The line includes: star pasta and chicken, tomato, creamy tomato and bunny pasta, bunny pasta and chicken broth and creamy carrot and bunny pasta.
Announcing the launch, Annie's said that it represented the first “large scale” product collaboration with General Mills, which acquired the business last year. By leveraging General Mills expertise in development and distribution, the product range was developed in nine months, the group said in a statement.
"Annie's Organic Soup is a huge testament to how Annie's and General Mills are better together," said John Foraker, Annie's president. "By combining Annie's commitment to organic, great-tasting products, and General Mills' capabilities and distribution, we are able to make a bigger impact on the organic industry and consumers."
Annie's organic soups are made from certified organic ingredients, free from artificial flavours, colours, preservatives and high fructose corn syrup.
The line is available throughout the US with a recommend retail price of US$3.49-3.99.
