Italian pasta group Barilla has entered into an agreement to sell its Kamps bakery chain in Germany to ECM Equity Capital.
The company said the deal is not subject to approval by antitrust authorities and is set to close shortly. It did not reveal the value of the transaction.

The move follows a failed attempt by Barilla in 2008 to sell the chain after deciding it was no longer a core part of the business.
Kamps is Germany’s largest single brand bakery chain with more than 900 outlets across the country.
