German dairy giant DMK has announced that sales chief Rolf Jahnsen has left the company.

Janshen, managing director of sales at DMK, is “withdrawing from active professional life for personal reasons”, the company said.

He had worked for Humana for around 15 years before the company merged with Nordmilch in May last year to form DMK. Prior to this, he spent two years as managing director of Nord-Contor, a joint venture of Humana Milchindustrie and Nordmilch.

CEO Josef Schwaiger will take over as head of sales until a successor is appointed.

Jahnsen’s departure was announced alongside news that two other senior executives at DMK are swapping roles.

Managing director Dr Dirk Gloy, who is in charge of member affairs, raw materials, logistics and purchasing, and operations director from Sönke Voss will exchange jobs, the group said yesterday (22 February). DMK did not give a reason for the changes, which will take effect from 1 April.

Dr Gloy will be tasked with implementing and “future-proofing” the strategy for firm’s production sites, which was developed by Voss.

As managing director of operations, Voss will take over the alignment and standardising of the different articles of association in DMK’s parent cooperatives. In addition, he will be tasked with optimising milk collection and outbound logistics at DMK, projects originally initiated by Gloy.
