Schwarz Group has seen a 6% increase in full-year sales, the German retailer confirmed today (24 July).
The company, which operates Lidl and Kaufland, saw sales reach EUR63.4bn (US$98.3bn) in the year to the end of February, a spokesperson for the privately-owned retailer told just-food.

At the end of the year, the group had 315,000 employees worldwide.
Lidl, the company’s discount retail arm, recorded sales of EUR45.4bn “with 9,800 stores in more than 20 countries around Europe,” the spokesperson said. Kaufland reached sales of EUR18bn with 1,070 stores in seven European countries.
