German retailer Rewe has announced it will offer a click-and-collect grocery ordering service in the Rhine-Main area.
The grocer announced yesterday (31 March) that it will offer the service from three stores in the Frankfurt area, adding that the stores have easy access to the motorway, making them attractive for commuters.
Orders are available three hours after being placed and there is no minimum order cost. Goods are placed in a Rewe Drive box which can be collected at the dispatch area.
The retailer is planning to extend the offer to outlets around Cologne and Hamburg in the next few months.
“We offer our customers a convenient and time saving alternative to traditional shopping in the market. The potential to satisfy customer needs with this concept, especially in urban areas is high,” said Rewe Markt CEO Lionel Souque.
