GREECE: A-B Vassilopoulos plans new self-service supermarket chain
Greek supermarket chain A-B Vassilopoulos has revealed its plans to establish a new chain of small self-service supermarkets in Greece. The new chain, to be built under the A-B City Market banner, will start with two stores to be opened in the Athens districts of Chalandri and Maroussi. These outlets will be surveyed for a six-month period before the company decides whether to transform all the small stores into the new brand.
