Saez was until recently working in Carrefour’s strategic department in Carrefour France. He has also held “high positions” in other countries where Carrefour has a presence, including Spain, Mexico and Italy.

The announcement follows the appointment of Patrice Lespagnol as CEO of Carrefour Marinopoulos Group in May. He was formerly CEO of Carrefour Romania. He replaced Vassilis Stassinoulias, who moved to a role at Carrefour’s headquarters.

The company said that Lespagnol hopes that, together with his new team, he shall reinforce Carrefour Marinopoulos Group in Greece and consolidate its leading position on the market, offering an excellent service and high-quality products and services at affordable prices.
