Jobs at a General Mills plant in the US are to be affected once B&G Foods buys the group's Green Giant business.
The company told just-food "certain packaging assets" at its plant in Belvidere are included in the deal, which was announced last month.

"We expect up to 160 positions will be impacted in Belvidere," a spokesperson for General Mills said.
B&G declined to comment on where in its network it would add the packaging functions.
It is anticipated the agreement will close during the fourth quarter and is subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
