GREENLAND: Fishermen forgo salmon harvest in bid to save stocks
Greenland's commercial fishermen have signed an agreement to forgo their rights to catch wild salmon as the fish feed and migrate through northern Atlantic waters. The agreement is intended to give the dwindling stocks a chance to recover, and will enable Atlantic salmon to return to their home rivers in Canada, the US and Europe to spawn.
