
Canadian food group GreenSpace Brands has appointed Jan Faryaszewski as it new finance chief to replace Stuart Pasternak.
Toronto-based GreenSpace Brands made the announcement in a statement today (16 April) but did not provide a reason for replacing Pasternak, who only joined the business as CFO last year. just-food has approached the firm for clarification.
Faryaszewski has previously worked for a number of food and beverages companies including Molson Coors in Canada, Danone in Europe, and Coca-Cola Bottling in Poland, all as CFO.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Jan join the GreenSpace team,” said chief executive Matthew von Teichman. “Jan is the perfect person to help oversee finance for our company, as we enter a new phase of our journey focused on profitability and cashflow.”
In February, GreenSpace said it had signed a “definitive investment agreement” with Vancouver-based PenderFund Capital Management to acquire a controlling position in the company.
GreenSpace Brands’ portfolio consists of nuts and seed mixes under its Central Roast brand, organic plant-based cheeses through the Go Veggie and Riot Eats lines, Love Child baby foods and Cedar cold-pressed juices
