“As a consumer-centric company, Hershey continually looks to meet the needs of its customers and consumers. In this spirit, we are looking across our ingredients and exploring opportunities to make changes that meet ever-evolving consumer expectations,” a spokesperson for the group told just-food. “One of the things we are actively exploring is replacing high-fructose corn syrup with sugar in some products.”

This work is “just underway” and the company does not have a timeframe for when the switch would be made. “It’s early days, but we are actively looking at this potential change.  Our aim is to be transparent with our consumers about the ingredients we use in our products.”
