Anglo-Dutch food and consumer goods group Unilever has delisted its Unilever NV ordinary shares from the Frankfurt and Zurich stock exchanges because of low trading volumes.

Unilever NV ordinary shares will remain listed on Euronext Amsterdam and on the New York Stock Exchange. Unilever PLC ordinary shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange and on the New York Stock Exchange.


Further announcements on the implementation of the delisting procedures will follow in due course, said Unilever, with the notices of the AGMs due to be published on 29 March 2006.


The food company has also set the agenda for its AGMs due in May 2006, which includes the re-election of executive directors, non-executive directors, and new non-executives. Unilever directors Bertrand Collomb, Oscar Fanjul and Hilmar Kopper will retire at the conclusion of the AGM.
