Tesco has dismissed claims that it is planning to lay off some 3,000 employees in Hungary.

Reports in Hungary had claimed the UK retail giant, which runs some 101 stores in the country, was planning to announce the cuts before Christmas.
However, a Tesco spokesman said the reports were “incorrect”.
“We have no plans whatsoever to restructure or lay off any workers at this stage,” the spokesman told just-food today (12 December).
