According to Indian reports, the facility will initially be supplied by 500 dairy farmers in the area who have signed up to cooperative agreements supported by Amul as it looks to develop a quality supply of raw milk.
One of the greatest challenges facing Indian dairy producers is the need to develop a cold chain that ensures the safety and quality of raw milk.
The integrated milk processing, pasteurisation and blending facility is said to have a capacity of 50,000 litres per hour.
