GCMMF, which operates under the brand name “Amul”, is India’s largest dairy processor.
The “milk pouch” segment saw revenue increase 48%, flavored milk sales rose 39% and the processed cheese and cheese spreads segments increased by 27% and 39% respectively.
“Having countered competition of multinational corporations, as well as the domestic private sector, we are well poised to steer the dairy cooperative sector into an era of greater prosperity and growth,” GCMMF chairman Parthibhai Bhatol said at the group’s AGM yesterday (17 June).
